PERSIMMON EXPANDS TEAM IN PORTISHEAD AS PLANS FOR NEW SITES GET UNDERWAY
Persimmon Homes Severn Valley has appointed an experienced construction professional Julian Howarth to the role of construction director.
Julian, 51, from Weston-Super-Mare, says he is looking forward to a new challenge and is delighted to be back working for a successful, national developer
The father-of-two joins the business after chalking up more than 30 years in the construction industry, with experience as a quantity surveyor and commercial manager at competitor developers. In 2001, Julian became commercial manager for Port Marine, before moving on to become regional director at Tithegrove Ltd.
He said: “I am delighted to be starting this new role with the Severn Valley region. It’s an exciting time to be involved in the industry. There are lots of new people joining the team all the time as the business expands. New trainees are coming in and those who have been trainees for a while are moving up into senior positions.
“The regional offices are located right on the marina, so it’s great to be back following my work here in 2001. I think this is going to be a very exciting and challenging role and look forward to settling in with the team.”
Persimmon Homes Severn Valley build homes across Bristol, Weston-Super-Mare and Gloucestershire.
Steve Roche, managing director for Persimmon Homes Severn Valley, said: “This is a fantastic appointment for the business, as we look to grow and strengthen the team in 2019.
“Julian will oversee the contruction of much-needed new homes across the region, as we kick-start the new year with new developments in Tuffley, Wilstock, Bristol and Haybridge.”
