Third Metro Bank branch launches in London’s Square Mile
Metro Bank has launched its new store in the Square Mile.
The Moorgate branch, located at 120 London Wall, was officially opened this morning (January 17) by the Lord Mayor of the City of London, Alderman Peter Estlin.
It is Metro Bank’s 66th location nationwide and its third in the City of London.
Iain Kirkpatrick, managing director of retail banking at Metro Bank, said at the launch: “We officially opened our 66th store – and first of the New Year – in the heart of the City of London today and what a reception we received.
“A big thanks to all the businesses, passing commuters and local residents who joined in the celebrations; the atmosphere has been incredible.”
He continued: “And this is only the start, we’ve got so much to offer everyone, from local business managers ready to share their expertise and free business networking events, to thousands of safe deposit boxes and free coin counting facilities.
“Welcome to the banking revolution Moorgate!”
It follows a busy year for the high street bank.
In 2018, the company revealed plans to provide £1bn in funding for businesses and recruit hundreds of new staff.
