Lee Hopes for Sixth Time Lucky

Family-owned, Swansway Honda Bolton, is up for an industry award and Lee Yates, Contract Hire Sales Manager at the dealership, couldn’t be prouder.

As he explained, “I’ve worked for Swansway for 8 years, starting off at the dealership which was in Manchester and moving to the Folds Road site in Bolton 2 years ago. Moving to the Bolton site has been brilliant for me, the team were so welcoming and I’ve built up a great relationship with everyone”.

“For the last 5 years I’ve won various awards from Honda Contract Hire Sales Manager of the Year to Honda Contract Hire Dealership of the Year; the dealership here in Bolton has now been shortlisted for the Top Performing Contract Hire Dealership of the Year and I’m chuffed to bits”.

“Compared to the other dealerships on the shortlist, we’re a really small Northern site, but we’re up there fighting with the big boys and that’s brilliant for everyone here”.

Lee sold 465 cars last year and is known, not only for his strong work ethic, but also for his sense of humour, “I’ve been a grafter since I left school at 16; I got a job as a baker in Manchester and for 5 years I got up at 4am in the morning and cycled an 18-mile round trip; after that experience, everything else seemed a breeze”, added Lee.

Born and bred Boltonian and Swansway Motor Group director, John Smyth, added, “Lee is a real force of nature, the work he gets through is astonishing, yet he’s always smiling. He’s a real diamond and we all hope he wins an award for the 6th year running; what an achievement that would be”.

Lee will find out if Swansway Bolton has won at the awards ceremony to be held at the exclusive South Lodge Hotel in Sussex, on 7 February.
