Double-digit turnover growth for Middlesbrough auto dealer as sales hit £33m
A family-run car dealership in Teesside is celebrating its most successful year to date after selling 1,200 retail units in just 12 months.
Middlesbrough-based Acklam Car Centre saw its turnover hit £33m in 2018, a year-on-year rise of 39%.
The company says it has appointed “several high-profile professionals” locally to deal with an increased demand for its vehicles.
Joe Khan, sales manager at Acklam Car Centre, said: “We’ve had a fantastic year and it’s all down to the hard work and effort put in by every member of staff.
“We work extra hard to go above and beyond ensuring that the service our customers receive is like nothing they have experienced before.”
Discussing the firm’s plans for 2019, marketing manager Jason West commented: “We have mastered our process as a business by providing the customer with a highly professional experience.
“It’s now my job to ensure that we continue to maintain and develop our relationship with new, existing and future customers by building value in our social media channels and adapting to the way the consumer likes to interact.”
He added: “You can expect to see a lot more of us on Instagram and Facebook this year”
Acklam Car Centre was founded in 2001 by brothers Kirk and Chris Andrews.
