Healthcare provider to expand in Gosforth with new facilities and plastic surgery options
Independent healthcare provider My Health Clinic is expanding its Gosforth premises with the help of Lloyds Bank.
The company plans to develop its 3,800 sq ft clinic on Great North Road, acquired in October 2017 with six-figure funding from Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking, by creating new medical facilities and services.
Over the next 12 months My Health Clinic will add a surgical theatre suite housing an anaesthetic room, scrub room, operating theatre and recovery bay, along with three new clinic rooms.
The company is also planning to open a pain clinic on site and appoint a consultant plastic surgeon in April, enabling it to offer cosmetic surgery options.
It follows a bumper year in 2018 that saw My Health Clinic increase revenues from private patients 133%.
Rob Boyce, managing director of My Health Clinic’s parent company, Minor Ops Ltd, said: “While we’ve been working with our partners in the NHS for more than a decade, we only began offering private services 18 months ago as a way to help diversify our business.
“It’s since become the fastest growing part of our company.”
He continued: “We started out offering private services through a rented clinic space, but it soon became clear that we needed our own site.
“Having our own space has meant we can now combine all of our services under one roof, and provide space for our administrative functions. It’s also given us room to physically expand and add new services, as well as boosting the number of cross-referrals between the different elements of the business.”
Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking relationship director Stuart Harper commented: “My Health Clinic offers trusted treatment options for private procedures and provides valuable support to our local NHS services, helping ensure patients in the local community are treated as quickly as possible.
“The firm’s new clinic has enabled it to develop its range of services and further the outstanding quality of care it offers to its patients.”
