South Africa-inspired Supper Club to open at Belgravia’s Motcombs restaurant
The husband and wife team behind Belgravia’s Motcombs are opening a new underground concept at the restaurant.
Ross Anderson and wife Jax will use their background in the arts to create Motcombs Supper Club, a new space with an all new menu serving cocktails and offering live music and DJs.
Set downstairs below the original Motcombs, the Supper Club will be open from Thursdays to Saturdays.
Ross and Jax will use their combined experience in theatre, film and music to create a vibe reminiscent of the old Belgravia – famed for its glamour, music and dancing.
The interiors will take inspiration from the the game reserve at Jax’s childhood home in South Africa by mixing safari designs and jungle-print wallpaper with a classic Belgravia feel.
Ross said: “We wanted to capture the essence of Belgravia, its opulence and colourful history and distil it into a modern era Motcombs Supper Club, whilst staying true to the restaurant’s unique character and charm.
“It will be a place where all of life’s pleasures – jazz, great food, a cocktail or two – can be enjoyed.”
He added: “It’s been something of a passion project and encompasses our personalities as much as Motcombs’ prestigious and illustrious history. We can’t wait to welcome our friends, both old and new.”
Motcombs Supper Club will open February 21.
