Husband-and-wife team target £215k crowdfund for ecommerce app Wishwallet

Ecommerce mobile app Wishwallet is coming to the end of a six-figure crowdfunding campaign.

The company is looking to raise £215k or more through equity crowdfunding platform Crowdcube as it pursues its aim of revolutionising the way people shop online.

Founded by husband-and-wife team Marc and Abi Labbett, Wishwallet captures change from a user’s card purchases by rounding up transactions to the nearest pre-selected amount, allowing them to passively save for a particular item.

The user adds their selected item – anything from new shoes or a pair of designer sunglasses to a charitable donation – to their Wishwallet, and each week the change from card purchases is transferred into their E-Wallet.

Once the full amount is saved, the E-Wallet balance is transferred directly to the retailer and the item posted.

The crowdfunding campaign kicked off in November and with nine days left has raised (at the time of writing) over £115k.

The investment will be used to progress the app into its next phase, which will see the launch version finalised, and support a nationwide marketing campaign.
