Leeds waste management company teams with rugby club for 15th consecutive season
Leeds-based LSS Waste Management, a total waste management provider, has confirmed a long-term sponsorship deal with the Leeds Rhinos.
This means the new Super League season, which starts this Thursday (January 31), will be its 15th consecutive year as a shirt sponsor.
Since first sponsoring the Rhinos in 2004, the Headingley club has won seven grand finals, two challenge cups and three world club challenges.
Leeds Rhinos’ commercial director, Rob Oates, said: “We’re a local club, with a strong local fan base, so having a great local firm like LSS Waste as one of our main sponsors is the perfect fit.
“And when you look at the success we’ve had while carrying their logo on our shirts, it seems like they could be our lucky local charm as well.”
The Emerald Headingley stadium is currently undergoing a £45m redevelopment, and is due to be completed by May 2019.
As a result, Leeds Rhinos will play their first four games of the season away from home, with their 2019 season beginning Saturday February 2, away to last season’s Challenge Cup and Grand Final runners up, Warrington Wolves.
