Park Inn by Radisson York City Centre brings hotel to life in new conferencing upgrade
One of York’s largest hotels is celebrating the completion of the latest phase in an extensive refurbishment programme.
The Park Inn by Radisson York City Centre, which is located on the city’s riverside, has given its ballroom and conference facilities a makeover and installed superfast broadband and video conferencing systems.
Its Henley Regatta Suite was upgraded to cover a capacity of up to 400, in a full refit aimed at modernising the space while retaining its traditional feel and features.
The venue’s 12 flexible meeting rooms, meanwhile, benefited from upgrades including superfast broadband, video conferencing, modern audio-visual technology, air conditioning and adjustable lighting.
Hotel general manager Sally Hughes said: “This investment not only shows how highly regarded we are here in York, but is also a huge investment in the city, which will see us become the next generation Park Inn – offering local businesses and visitors a truly world-class experience.
“The refurbishment of our bar and meeting area, with floor to ceiling windows giving guests unrivalled views of York has attracted a lot of attention already.”
She added: “And so far, the reception to our updated facilities has been equally fantastic.”
