£6.5 Million Worth Of Apartment Sales At Newly Refurbished Leeds Development

Work is almost complete on a major £800,000 renovation programme at a large-scale residential development in Leeds city centre’s highly sought-after Northern Quarter, and a wide range of newly-refurbished apartments within the development are now available to buy.

The Concord Street development consists of 171, one-and two-bedroom apartments as well as a selection of studios and penthouses, which were originally built in 2006. Leeds property company Adair Paxton has been heavily involved the development and management of the scheme for the last four years and has advised national building and civil engineering giant McLaughlin & Harvey on the renovation work.

Adair Paxton’s estate agency division is now selling 120 of the apartments, with prices ranging from £79,950 for a studio apartment to £180,000 for a 2-bedroom penthouse, and the company has already successfully sold more than £6.5m-worth in recent months. The refurbishment work has seen all the development’s communal areas redecorated, with new floor coverings as well as LED lights throughout. In addition, many individual apartments have been refurbished with new kitchens and bathrooms.

Bruce Collinson, from Adair Paxton, said: “This development has always been a popular place to live that has stood the test of time and it is now benefitting from the ongoing emergence of Leeds city centre’s Northern Quarter. The area has attracted a huge amount of investment in recent years with Leeds First Direct Arena opening and lots of the city’s best bars and restaurants are now also in the vicinity.

“Concord Street is an ideal location for everything that the Northern Quarter has to offer, as well as being within easy reach of the city’s universities and just a five-minute walk from the retail hotspots of Briggate and Victoria Leeds. There’s also Lovell Park across the road, which is one of the city centre’s biggest green spaces and the inner ring road is just a two-minute drive away offering easy access to the motorway network and many key city suburbs.

“McLaughlin & Harvey have made a significant investment in the development to give it a brand new feel and it now exceeds what’s on offer at many other new developments in the area. The refurbished apartments all meet an exceptional standard, with superb modern kitchens, new appliances and high-quality bathroom suites. As a result, they are currently proving extremely popular with both investors and owner-occupiers alike.”
