Dealership Wins Second National Award
The team at family-owned Wrexham Volkswagen have got the winning habit; not content with recently being crowned the No.1 Volkswagen Dealer in the UK at the VW One Business Awards, the team has just been recognised as the AM Awards 2019 Best Dealership.
The AM Awards are the car industry’s gold standard, referred to as the ‘Oscars’ of the industry, so’ it’s a real coup for Wrexham Volkswagen to do this phenomenal double. Delighted Brand Manager, Gary Wood, commented, “As a team we were absolutely delighted to be shortlisted and really not putting too much expectation in as to whether we would win, so to hear our name called out on the night, was absolutely brilliant”!
“I’m so very proud of our team, each and every person in the dealership works so hard and to be honoured with two top awards, like this, is brilliant; it shows the team how special they are, so massive congratulations and thanks to everyone at the dealership”.
Wrexham VW is run by family-owned, Swansway Motor Group and director, John Smyth, commented, “Wrexham VW is proof positive that no matter the size or location of your dealership, if everyone has the right mindset, anything is possible. Well done to the whole Wrexham team on a fantastic achievement”.
The AM judges commented, “Number one for CSI scores in the Volkswagen UK network, a trebling of profits in the past three years and staff conscientious enough to tell customers they would be better off to stick with their current car, led the judges to a unanimous decision for 2019’s Best Dealership.
“Wrexham Volkswagen was judged as clearly living the Swansway values of caring, honest and proud. The staff have a real ambition to succeed,” added awards auditors BDO.
