New Addition to Russell Scanlan Team
Leading independent insurance broker Russell Scanlan has welcomed a new recruit to its growing team.
The firm of 35 has appointed Olivia Whiteley as a commercial account handler covering mid-corporate insurance. She brings 13 years of industry experience to the role, which has been created as part of the growing firm’s plans for expansion.
Olivia joins Russell Scanlan with a broad skill set, having started her career in 2005 as a personal lines handler before moving into SME insurance. She has worked in mid-corporate insurance for the last three years and her new role involves assisting account executives in managing their clients. Olivia was recently presented with her Advanced Diploma in Insurance (ACII) qualification by the Nottingham Insurance Institute. The qualification demonstrates an enhanced understanding of insurance practice, both in technical subject matter and overall application skills.
Olivia said: “I’m thrilled to be joining Russell Scanlan, which has an excellent reputation within the industry both across the East Midlands and further afield. The company is known for being a great place to work and very encouraging towards staff – the low turnover of staff here is testament to that. The team has made me feel very welcome already and I’m looking forward to working across and developing their wide and varied client base.”
Mike Dickinson, Marketing Director at Russell Scanlan, added: “We’re always on the lookout for passionate, hard-working and talented staff so we’re delighted to welcome Olivia to the team. Her experience will be invaluable in supporting our growing number of corporate clients, building relationships and delivering that extra added value on which we pride ourselves. She is an excellent addition to the company and we look forward to seeing her achievements over the coming months and years.”
