This week's London appointments
Keith Davies and Kevin Tilson, Buro Four
Project management services provider Buro Four has appointed two new London project directors, Keith Davies and Kevin Tilson.
Keith has joined Buro Four from Tkei Homes, where he worked for 13 years. He has more than 20 years’ experience in the industry.
Kevin, meanwhile, was previously at Gardiner & Theobald, latterly as a partner in the firm. His appointment marks a return to Buro Four, as he worked with the company as senior project manager between 2007 and 2010.
Elsewhere, Buro Four has appointed Stuart Flaxton to its main board as a director.
Chairman Iain Roberts said: “The appointment of Keith and Kevin marks the start of an exciting new time at Buro Four.
“Their track records, reputations and contacts in the industry are second to none and we are really excited to have them on board as we look towards another successful year.”
He added: “We welcome Stuart Flaxton to the main board which underlines his success in making corporate occupier a major sector for Buro Four.”
Caroline Green, Browne Jacobson
Law firm Browne Jacobson has elected London head Caroline Green as its new senior partner for the next three years.
Caroline, one of the company’s longest serving partners, jointly leads its retail sector group.
From May 1, she will become Browne Jacobson’s first female senior partner. Caroline is succeeding Derek Bambury, who held the position since 2013.
She said: “It is an honour to be elected senior partner. It is hugely exciting time to be taking over the baton from Derek who has done an outstanding job.
“We operate in a fiercely competitive market and I am looking forward to working with our truly amazing people to ensure we continue to encourage innovation, promote diversity and inclusion, build on our core strengths and continue to place clients’ needs at the heart of everything we do.”
Browne Jacobson managing partner Iain Blatherwick commented: “Derek has been an exemplary senior partner and a tremendous ambassador for the firm.
“He has been one of the driving forces behind our extraordinary growth, helping to transform us into one of the UK’s leading law firms.”
He added: “Caroline has been at the firm for over 30 years and there is no one better qualified to take over the reins from Derek.”
Emma Smith and Craig Rowe, FirstPort
FirstPort has announced two senior appointments in its HR leadership team.
Emma Smith is the company’s new head of talent. She has a wealth of experience working at an international level at Tesco, where she coordinated the company’s resource and recruitment processes across five countries. More recently, she worked at lottery firm Camelot Group.
FirstPort has also appointed Craig Rowe as head of HR. He previously led managerial training programmes at Morrisons and the HR surrounding a major acquisition at Iceland.

Thomas Greenwood, YourSales
YourSales Recruitment has appointed Thomas Greenwood as divisional manager.
Thomas has more than a decade of sales experience. Prior to his appointment, he was business manager for a recruitment firm.
YourSales Recruitment is the newly launched arm of YourConsultancy Group, which has offices in London, Wakefield and Manchester.

Chris Evans, Intuit
Intuit, the US tech company behind accounting software QuickBooks, has appointed Chris Evans as its new VP and UK country manager.
Chris has been part of the company’s UK team for the last eight years. His previous role was UK sales director.
Dominic Allon, Intuit’s senior vice president and general manager, international, commented: “QuickBooks is the world’s number one online accounting solution with over 3.6 million subscribers and the UK plays a vital role in our international mission.

Six appointments, Pupil
Spatial data startup Pupil has brought in a new six-strong business advisory board to help shape its strategy for growth.
The advisory board will comprise:
- Sanjay Jain, former head of technology banking at JPMorgan, current chief strategy officer at Hyperloop Transportation Technologies
- Jambu Palaniappan, former head of UberEats EMEA
- Steve Sacks, former chief customer officer at Burberry, partner at McKinsey & Company
- Edgar Bronfman, Jr, former chairman and CEO of Warner Music Group and The Seagram Company, Ltd
- Anthony Browne, former chairman and CEO of the British Bankers Association, current chairman of the Government’s Regulatory Policy Committee
- Lord St John of Bletso, Member of the House of Lords and chairman and director of various public and private companies
Pupil captures and publishes 3D information on real-world property interiors. Its real estate technology has already been used to create millimetre-accurate spatial data for residential developments in London worth more than $2bn.
