Deborah Barton, Guest Walker
York-based property law specialist, Guest Walker has appointed associate commercial property lawyer, Deborah Barton as a director of the business.
She joins the existing directors, John Walker and Helen Burrows on the board. The appointment marks a strategic milestone in the firm’s growth as it continues to develop its reputation as a specialist in commercial and residential property law.
With over 20 years of experience in commercial property, Deborah specialises in working with developers on the acquisition, development and disposal of industrial, residential and retail properties.

“We are delighted that she is now a director of the business as we look to embark on the next stage of our growth.”
Julia Rangecroft, Shulmans
Leeds-based Shulmans has appointed private client and tax lawyer Julia Rangecroft to its private wealth division.
Top 200 corporate law firm, Shulmans is increasing its range of services to individuals, and business and property owners in particular.
The existing private wealth offering will be expanded to include an advisory service which will support and protect individuals by providing lifetime legal and tax advice.
With more than 30 years of experience, Rangecroft is a leading lawyer in the sector, being both a qualified chartered tax adviser and solicitor.

Kevin Lee, Ring
Ring, the European lighting and automotive aftermarket specialist based in Leeds, has appointed Kevin Lee as area sales manager, supporting the business’s continued growth throughout the UK.
Responsible for maintaining and building the brand’s relationship with automotive aftermarket distributors across the Midlands region, Kevin will be tasked with driving further sales of the company’s products and increasing awareness of its extensive range among industry professionals.
Kevin said: “Ring’s extensive portfolio of products and market leading position makes it a really exciting time to join the team. As a business we’re constantly trying to drive innovation and bring new innovations to market.

George Jackson, Monday at Nine
Leeds-based recruitment consultancy, Monday at Nine has bolstered its senior management team with the appointment of George Jackson as head of agency.
Having launched 18 months ago, Monday at Nine has established itself as the recruiter of choice for its portfolio of clients, handling vacancies across marketing, sales, technology and innovation sectors.
George joins the business with six years of experience recruiting for some of the UK’s integrated, digital, PR and media agencies and will spearhead the brand-new agency recruitment division.
He said: “I am absolutely delighted to be joining Monday at Nine and heading up the Agency function.
“I have worked with both Dan and Jonathan in previous roles and couldn’t think of two more committed, talented and driven directors I’d rather work alongside to support in the continued growth of the business.”
Jenna Strover, Potter Space
Recently rebranded Potter Space, which owns, develops and operates five business parks across the UK, has appointed Jenna Strover, as head of commercial delivery.
Jenna joins the Ripon-based company with a BSc honours degree in Building Surveying and more than ten years’ experience of project management and surveying.
During that time, she has worked with both private and public sector clients including Leeds University, Legal and General, Tesco Stores and McDonalds Restaurants.
She joins from surveyors, Currie and Brown where she was an associate director heading up a team of four.
In her new role she will be responsible for the delivery of new buildings and infrastructure, as Potter Space invests £25m in continuing to expand across its 250 acres on five business parks in Ripon, Selby, Knowsley, Droitwich and Ely.
The business currently has 1.6m square feet of warehouses and offices with full planning permission for a further 282,000 square feet of new buildings.
Managing director of Potter Space, Matthew Lamb, said: “There is a huge amount of activity happening on the business parks and Jenna has the credentials we need to successfully oversee and deliver the various projects.
“She has worked on a wide variety of large development schemes, including the project management of multi-million pound projects for Durham University.
“The team is looking forward to working with Jenna, as we drive forward with our ambitious plans to become one of the leading business park operators in the UK.”
