Sarah Walmsley, Bradley Hall
Bradley Hall has appointed its newest senior member of staff amid significant growth.
Sarah Walmsley joins the Bradley Hall mortgages team as senior mortgage and protection manager following 16 years in the mortgage industry, including at Reeds Rains.
Director of mortgages and finance for Bradley Hall, Lewis Chambers, said: “Sarah’s appointment is another fantastic milestone for us as it marks further expansion of our department.
“Our newly strengthened team is now able to continue offering the high level of service we have become known for to even more clients.
“Sarah is a great addition to the team thanks to her experience in the industry, as well as her passion and dedication to providing high quality advice to people on every stage of the property ladder.
“The team has grown significantly within the past year, and we have been able to supply hundreds of people with mortgages on a national scale. Demand for our services continued to grow at a steady pace, especially within the North East.”
Lewis Southall, Total Recycling Services
Darlington-based recycling providers Total Recycling Services has appointed a sales executive to ensure it will reach its target of doubling turnover within the next three years.
Lewis Southall, has joined the team as an area sales manager after a successful career within the industrial services sector.
Total Recycling Services is based in Darlington and uses its skills and expertise in hazardous waste removals for clients such as JCB, Akzo Nobel, Nissan and Caterpillar.
Lewis, who previously worked with World Services Group and CIS Northern, said: “When I first came to Total Recycling Services I was immediately impressed with the company. It’s innovative and has invested well in future growth.
“My main focus will be on the industrial services side of Total Recycling Services, which has already seen large growth in the last 18 months.
“I’ll also be looking to bring in more waste contracts.”
Peter Oram, The NBT Group
Supply chain management company, The NBT Group has appointed former growth director Peter Oram to CEO as the company looks to grow and continue to build on a successful 2018.
The 110-year-old Killingworth-based firm, which secured first place in 2018’s Fastest 50 Awards, is known in the region for its rich family heritage and innovative approach to a once traditional industry.
Peter Oram’s appointment marks the firm’s first non-family member on the company board.
Peter joined The NBT Group as growth director almost five years ago when the firm acquired his business, Evolution MRO.
In this time, his role has been to work alongside The NBT Group’s Toby Bridges to bring the business into the 21st century through innovative processes and internal structuring with tribes and squads.
Speaking on his new role, Peter Oram said: “I’m extremely proud and excited to have been given this opportunity and I’m looking forward to continuing the fantastic work from our previous CEO.
“Toby has made a massive step in taking the business to the next level and I intend to continue to build on that.
“We’ve had a successful three years at The NBT Group in which we’ve seen a significant growth in turnover and I’ll be looking to create a strong platform so that we are a great place to grow for customers, suppliers and staff.”
David Lovenbury and Mark Harbottle, Edward Reed
North East management recruitment firm, Edward Reed has kicked off the new year with three key new hires, looking to build on the success of 2018 and further strengthen its market offering.
David Lovenbury, who has been in the industry for over 25 years, will lead the company’s finance recruitment department.
Mark Harbottle brings a decade of experience to his position as head of IT and technology recruitment.
Having spent the majority of their careers in Newcastle, both senior recruits are well connected and have a keen understanding of local business needs.
David said: “Edward Reed’s refreshing approach to recruitment consultancy has made waves here in the North East.

Declan Doran, Synergi
Growing Gateshead technology company Synergi has strengthened and expanded its national team with the appointment of an experienced consultant.
Declan Doran has joined as technology solutions consultant for London and South East England region, bringing more than 15 years of technology experience and expertise to the role.
This includes considerable experience of the Microsoft SharePoint collaboration and process automation landscape, from legacy On-Premise to SharePoint Online and, more recently, with Office 365.
He said: “Synergi has a rapidly growing national client base while being highly respected by Nintex and Microsoft for delivering innovative solutions, which drives business efficiency.
