Estate agents turn to social and online tech to reach homebuyers
Demand for new homes remains strong across the North East with today’s homebuyers responding to a marketing mix of new and traditional approaches.
Leading estate agent Sanderson Young successfully combines a formula of media channels to provide choice and convenience to buyers.
Social media activity – via Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn - encourages multiple viewings on the extensive range of old and new property developments being marketed by Sanderson Young.
For instance, within the last week a property on Elmfield Park Road, Gosforth achieved 40 viewings in five days; a Rectory Road property secured 23 viewings in four days; and a home on Woodbine Avenue got 10 viewings in six days.
Duncan Young, chairman of Sanderson Young, said: “All these great properties were supported by good features on our Facebook page and promoted via LinkedIn and Twitter. Homebuyers are today using different media to search for property.
“Here at Sanderson Young we have to offer sellers and buyers every marketing tool to reach people.
“We continue to invest more in our website to ensure it’s giving an Amazon-like property experience to visitors. Site visits are rising by the week. We will be bringing online a range of exciting new features in the coming months.”
But Sanderson Young also know the traditional, and personal methods still work, especially open weekends and open days at new home developments.
The new 10-home Foxton Glade site at Lesbury, Northumberland attracted around 60 viewings in a recent open weekend. Two reservations on properties selling at well over £500,000 were also achieved.
Duncan Young added: “We took five reservations last week at Smokehouses, Smiths Dock, in North Shields. We also achieved two sales reservations, at over £800,000, on properties at a Longframlington site.”
Such buoyant sales and viewings activity are being achieved by using all the different marketing tools to reach the broadest range of homebuyers possible.
