East Yorkshire poultry business turns to Hull firm for latest fleet vehicle
Middleton-on-the-Wold based poultry specialist Soanes Poultry has supported local business by sourcing its latest delivery vehicle from a vehicle manufacturer based in nearby Hull.
The family-run business commissioned Hull’s Paneltex Ltd, a UK manufacturer of refrigerated and specialised commercial vehicle bodies, to supply the newest addition to its fleet.
With over 70 years of experience in poultry rearing and preparation, Soanes employs over 100 people and supplies local butchers and independent retailers, as well as wholesalers across the country.
In addition to working with Paneltex, Soanes collaborated with local graphics company Provins Signs in the commissioning of its bespoke vehicle, a 7.2 tonne Iveco Daily 72C chassis cab fitted with a Paneltex insulated body and a GAH J503 direct drive refrigeration system.
This latest addition to the Soanes fleet brings the total number of refrigerated delivery vehicles to 13, helping the company to continue to supply customers throughout Yorkshire with fresh local poultry.
Soanes general manager said: “We pride ourselves on buying goods and services as locally as possible, so it’s good to support both Paneltex and Market Weighton company, Provins Signs who provided the graphics.”
