Miller Homes Puts Kettle On for Dementia UK
Dementia is a condition that affects over 850,000 people in the UK and with the number expected to rise to over 1 million by 2025 fundraising and awareness has never been more important in the fight against this devastating condition.
Leading housebuilder, Miller Homes, is joining Dementia UK’s annual ‘Time for a Cuppa’ fundraising week by inviting people in local communities to call into their local Miller sales centre and join them for a cuppa this Saturday (2nd March).
“This is a condition that affects us all in different ways and sadly many of us know of someone who has the illness at one stage or another,” said Sarah Whinfrey regional sales manager Miller Homes Yorkshire. “So, we’re putting the kettle on, providing the cake and warmly invite as many Yorkshire people as possible to pop along to our sales centres and show homes, get chatting to other local people and support this very worthwhile charity.”
Celebrating 10 years in 2019, Time for a Cuppa has already raised over £760,966.73 which has funded 30 brand new Admiral nurses and over 8,664 tea parties have been hosted.
“All we ask is for a donation and then together, we can do our small part in helping the fight against this illness and supporting the care of people who really need it,” said Sarah.
