Richard Wyborn, James Morton and Stephen Moon, Science in Sport plc
Science in Sport plc has announced three key senior management appointments.
Richard Wyborn is the company’s new group strategic projects director. For more than a decade, he has worked as a strategic consultant and project manager for global businesses.
His career started out with IAMCO, where he provided counsel to clients including Cadbury. Latterly, Richard worked at Bain & Company.
Prof. James Morton (pictured above) is SIS’ new group chief scientific officer. A professor of Exercise Metabolism & Nutrition with Liverpool John Moores University, James has also served as the head of nutrition for professional cycling squad Team Sky since 2015.
Lastly, SIS has appointed Richard Whitty as marketing director. Richard was previously global marketing manager at Carlsberg, prior to which he spent spent six years in global marketing roles with Unilever.

Philip Gardner, Aprirose
Real estate investment company Aprirose has appointed Philip Gardner as commercial director.
In his new role, Philip will oversee sales, marketing and revenue channels for the hotel management platform.
He previously worked for Intercontinental Hotel Group (IHG) Europe, where he was vice president and led the revenue management team.
Aprirose’s chief executive officer hotels, Tim Shearman, said: “Philip’s experience in the hotel sector and in the commercial roles he has held make him a strong addition to the team running our new hotel management platform.
“As we look to grow the business Philip will be a great asset given his extensive knowledge and experience, specifically in sales and revenue management within the hotel sector.”
Philip Gardner commented: “The recent launch of our new hotel management platform makes it an exciting time to be joining Aprirose’ hotel team.
“The team at Aprirose and Kew Green Hotels involved in the management platform is best-in-class and will provide me with the opportunity to work with some of the sector’s leading experts.”
He added: “I’m looking forward to working with the hotel team, engaging with the exciting portfolio of hotel assets and leveraging their success to date to build a scalable and first-class management platform.”
Graham Tester, Saftronics
Saftronics has welcomed Graham Tester to its team as regional sales manager.
With overall responsibility for the company’s sales activities in the South, Graham will look after the management of existing customers and build on Saftronics’ network of consultants in oil and gas, chemical, water, power generation, transport, logistics and other sectors.

Ben Collett, Duff & Phelps
Financial advisory firm Duff & Phelps has appointed Ben Collett as managing director in its restructuring advisory practice.
Ben will work across the company’s offices in London, Manchester and Birmingham, providing advisory services for corporate clients in the UK and Europe.
Prior to his appointment, Ben was global director of strategic projects at IMI Precision Engineering. Before that he spent 27 years in professional services giant KMPG’s advisory practice.
Duff & Phelps MD Matt Ingram commented: “Ben is a highly experienced turnaround advisory professional with extensive experience working in the manufacturing and engineering sectors, as well as oil and gas, food and retail, and fast-moving consumer goods.
“In his new role at Duff & Phelps, he will bring to our corporate clients the benefit of his expertise in early intervention when seeking to protect or restore value.”

Richard Parker, M3 Consulting
Development management business M3 Consulting has appointed Richard Parker as senior development manager.
With more than nine years’ experience, Richard started his career at BNP Paribas Real Estate. He worked there for nearly four years before making the move client side to join developer Mount Anvil as senior commercial asset manager.
At M3, one of Richard’s key projects will be British Land’s Blossom Street in London E1, where the company is working on the 500,000 sq ft mixed-use scheme.
M3 Consulting director Richard Hollingworth said: “We are delighted to welcome Richard to the business, where his experience and knowledge of development in the capital will further strengthen our development management team.
“He will also play a key part in our business development as we look to expand the company’s growing project portfolio.”
