Work underway on Rockliffe’s £500k new-home development in Retford
Modern housing developer Rockliffe has begun work on a highly-anticipated £500k housing project, which will deliver a trio of three bedroom homes in Retford.
Situated on Carr Road in the North Nottinghamshire market town, the development is already attracting interest from buyers, with its central location close to Sheffield and Nottingham, as well as the A1 (M) and the East Coast Main Line to London, providing strong transport links for commuters.
Construction work on the half a million pound project – which will consist of three unique, high-specification homes with off-road parking, a rarity in Retford – will be carried out by local firm JCP Construction Limited, and is on schedule to be completed by Autumn 2019.
As Retford is a conservation area, a specialist building process will be in place, including using conservation friendly materials in the build.
Development Director, Alex Spencer-Mills, said: “Our ambition as a modern housing developer is to find sites that are well situated based on the needs of potential buyers, and that provide us with an opportunity to deliver homes – from a size and specification perspective - that suit the needs of the local community.
“The development at Carr Road is very unique. As the development sits on a conservation site, extra care will be taken in the build process. The site is ideally placed on major transport links, and close to local amenities including Carolgate High Street, as well as several primary and senior schools.
“The off-road parking is a desirable addition, and the size of the houses will make for ideal living for both families and young professionals alike. We are already receiving enquiries from a number of interested parties.”
Retford-based Brown&Co has been appointed to act as the sales agent at the site.
The North Nottinghamshire development is the latest to progress for Rockliffe Homes, which is on track to continue with ambitious growth plans over the coming months, having recently announced the acquisition of a 2.27 acre plot of land in North Yorkshire.
The company is also responsible for the Ringwood Meadow development in Brimington, Chesterfield, which consists of three phases and will deliver 37 new homes as part of a £5.5m project.
