Yorkshire company secures £4m contract for major new hotel development
A Yorkshire construction business has secured a £4m contract to design and build a major new Travelodge hotel in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire.
Pontefract-based Harris CM Limited has been involved in the project from the planning stages and will begin construction in March 2019.
The four-storey 63-bedroom hotel with additional retail units will be built on the disused site of the former Gala Bingo premises on St Peter’s Way.
Jason Adlam, chief executive officer for Harris CM Limited, said: “This contract win, on behalf of one of the UK’s leading hotel operators, reinforces our successful and busy start to the year, and is testimony to the diverse range of services that our company is able to consistently provide.”
Harris CM Limited has a variety of experience in the retail and leisure sector. Recently awarded contracts in the Yorkshire region include Owlerton Stadium in Sheffield and a Pavers Shoes site near York.
Jason continued: “Harris CM has been involved in this project from the beginning, securing planning permission and helping to get the scheme off the ground.
“This is our first project in Mansfield, and we are proud to be involved in a development that will breathe new life into a disused site.”
