Houghton-le-Spring digital business set to reach £2m turnover and expansion

Digital Allies has announced a three-year expansion plan which is set to see it reach an annual turnover of £2m, double staff numbers to 40 and move into new offices.

The business has also strengthened its management team with several well-known regional business figures.

The company, which is based in Houghton-le-Spring and has just completed its fourth year of business, delivers advice on digital marketing, working with clients on digital strategy, complex website development, API integrations and training/coaching.

It has supposedly grown steadily, with two office moves since its launch. It now has a team of 20 members, and has recruited Alastair MacColl as a non-executive adviser.

Mr MacColl is also chairman of BE Group, chairman and pro chancellor of Teesside University, and is a former managing director of the Gazette Media Company.

Digital Allies works for clients across all sectors and all parts of the UK. These include: the Solicitors’ Regulation Authority; Engie; and BMF with Bear Grylls.

To accommodate the firm’s growth and expansion plans it is now looking for larger premises in the region.
