Newcastle creative startup launches new product following successful Kickstarter funding
make it pop has launched its creative card game after a successful Kickstarter campaign.
In September 2018, its previous Kickstarter campaign managed to raise £7,184 - 281 per cent of the company’s original goal of £2,500.
make it pop is a creative card game/design tool that uses serious play methods to help players improve their design thinking and creative confidence, done by encouraging creativity through collaborative brainstorming.
Starting out as a side project in 2017, make it pop has supposedly grown into a design tool for creative professionals around the world. make it pop has players in every continent and is used at some of the world’s biggest companies.
Co-founder and creative director, Ade-Lee Adebiyi, said: “We couldn’t comprehend the reception we’ve received with make it pop!
“We are super grateful for everyone that has supported us in the north east and would like to host more community events to bring creatives together.”
As well as helping creatives diversify their skills and portfolio, make it pop has also been used by creatives to challenge their teams, to lecturers wanting to add a practical element to their lessons, and as an exercise for workshop hosts.
Co-founder and lead developer, Scott Hewitson, said: “We’ve noticed more and more people not in conventional creative roles picking up and playing make it pop in their companies.
“We were recently approached by HR managers in Singapore that were interested in using make it pop in their company retreats.”
