Global education data analysts acquired by London private equity firm
London-based private equity firm Inflexion has completed its acquisition of higher education analysts Times Higher Education (THE).
The data specialists were previously part of Tes Global, owned by TPG Capital. As part of the acquisition, Inflexion have carved THE out as an independent entity using dedicated mid-market buyout funds.
Simon Turner, managing partner at Inflexion, explained: “Times Higher Education has an excellent brand and an exceptionally driven management team.
“By carving the business out, we can firmly focus on building its core strengths, namely through enhancing its digital presence and continuing its global expansion.”
Having been established for almost 50 years, THE offers data, consulting and hiring services to over 700 clients around the world including UK universities Oxford and Cambridge, and Harvard and MIT in the US.
