North East IT Healthcare Solutions Provider Clarity Informatics rebrands TeamNet
North East-based Clarity Informatics, an international leader in IT healthcare solutions, has launched a new brand identity for its leading web-based compliance platform GPTeamNet.
Now known as Clarity TeamNet under the new brand, the web-based compliance and sharing platform is designed specifically for GP practices and practice groups. The platform supports those working in the primary sector with everyday practice management and CQC compliance.
Originally developed by Russell Mulcahy ten years ago as a bespoke intranet for his wife’s GP practice, TeamNet was acquired by Clarity Informatics just over two years ago. In the time since, it has seen an increase of nearly 375% in coverage across England and has quickly grown to become one of the leading solutions on the market. It is now used by over 20% of GP practices across the country.
As part of the rebrand, TeamNet will be brought fully under the Clarity Informatics branding for the first time. Along with additional resources and capabilities to drive improved customer value, the move will see additional benefits and functionality added to the platform over the coming months. The news of the rebrand comes as Clarity Informatics CEO, Tim Sewart announced the company is keen to acquire further new start-ups or IT healthcare solutions looking to scale up.
Tim Sewart commented: “As a business we have a core strength in the primary care sector thanks to our web-based portfolios, clinical knowledge tools and practice management software. We are continuously striving to deliver innovative technology solutions that help doctors and nurses save time and money so they can spend more time with patients. We’re actively looking to either build or acquire complementary products and TeamNet is a great example of the success we can achieve by partnering with like-minded, innovative businesses. Over the past two years we’ve seen almost threefold revenue growth for TeamNet and by bringing the solution under the Clarity brand and investing in new functionality that will be launched later this year, we expect this to be an exciting year.”
Russell Mulcahy, who developed TeamNet and has since joined Clarity Informatics as a Strategic Director commented: “It’s incredible to see the growth that TeamNet has enjoyed over the last few years. I originally designed the solution as a bespoke intranet for the GP practice where my wife worked as a senior partner. None of the tools on the market offered a comprehensive solution and I couldn’t believe there wasn’t anything out there that had been designed with GP practices in mind.
“The decision to join with Clarity Informatics was prompted by wanting to grow TeamNet’s coverage. I wanted to partner with a company that was local and that would allow me to bring my original team with me, and Clarity was the perfect fit. I’m overjoyed to see the progress we’ve made and I’m looking forward to seeing what comes next.”
Clarity’s TeamNet supports CQC compliance, information management, personal appraisal and revalidation and helps GP practices, federations and CCGS to manage practices effectively, create time savings and ease the path through compliance inspections. As well as its enormous value as an intranet, you can use it to share and collaborate between practices and other teams across the local health economy.
Globally recognised, Clarity’s dedicated team of clinicians and researchers have over 20 years’ experience of providing clinical guidance and resources to medical practitioners. Clarity Informatics is one of a small number of commercial enterprises to be accredited by NICE in the UK. Its clinical guidance – Prodigy – designed to assist GPs, GP registers, nurses and pharmacists to treat common conditions and symptoms, forms the clinical content of NICE’s Clinical Knowledge Summaries (CKS) service. Every month approximately 50% of the NHS clinical workforce rely on clinical information and guidance authored by Clarity Informatics.
