Staffordshire home care service nominated for major franchising award
Radfield Home Care has been shortlisted for the Emerging Franchisor of the Year Award at the bfa HSBC Franchise Awards, to be held at the Vox, Birmingham, on June 27.
Family owned for over 35 years, Radfield Home Care specialises in providing high quality care-at-home services to older people within the private marketplace. With an ageing population demanding more independence, care-at-home services help support this growing demographic’s needs. Operating within the private marketplace, franchise partners also benefit from higher profit margins that enable a higher quality service offering that focuses on the company’s core values: kindness, dignity and respect.
Franchisor and experienced GP, Dr Hannah MacKechnie, is delighted that the values-based business model has been recognised as a leading ethical franchise opportunity: “We have always been family owned and those values run throughout the business. We not only provide our clients with a high quality service, we also strive to provide our staff with a rewarding work environment and offer our franchise partners the same high standard of support and guidance. It is an honour to be recognised as one of the bfa’s shortlisted Emerging Franchisors and further supports our mission to provide an ethical and rewarding franchise opportunity.”
The awards evening is the flagship event in the franchising calendar and getting a nomination in itself is a major achievement, proving the business works ethically and in the best interests of franchisees and staff, fighting off many other companies vying for the accolade.
Pip Wilkins, CEO of the British Franchising Association (bfa), congratulated Radfield Home Care:
“Radfield Home Care does a lot for the community, helping vulnerable people and building relationships. The franchisor also give full support to its network of franchisees, and the company is fully deserving of its place on the shortlist.”
Andrew Brattesani, Head of Franchising, HSBC, said: “Radfield Home Care is a great example of showing how a business can scale and help the community. Ran for over 30 years as a small business before becoming a franchise, the company started franchising in 2016 and has scaled up with the customer at heart, one of the many reasons as to why it has been nominated for the Emerging Franchisor award.”
They will go face-to-face against two other franchise units in June from sectors in leisure and installations.
