Simon Colley, MMX Retail

Retail property specialist MMX Retail has appointed Simon Colley as a graduate surveyor.

Simon studied rural land management at RAU Cirencester and already has experience across a range of real estate sectors.

In this role Simon will specialise in the retail market, concentrating on investment and leasing roles across the company’s high street units.

Richard Hyman, Retail Executives

Specialist retail executive search and advisory firm Retail Executives has appointed Richard Hyman as board advisor.

Richard brings over 30 years of retail industry knowledge and experience to the firm, in a role offering strategic advice across all elements of the business.

Having worked at companies like the Financial Times, Mintel, Datamonitor and Deloitte, Richard has gained professional knowledge across a range of industries, as well as experience of setting up his own companies.

Giles Darwin, Denomination

Drinks specialist Denomination have appointed Giles Darwin as managing director of its central London office.

Giles will be overseeing the company’s UK and and European operations, utilising experience from a 15 year history of working with drinks and prestige brands.

Previous experience includes time at agencies across the UK such as JDO, Lewis Moberly and Elmwood, where he worked witha range of brands including Bollinger and Johnnie Walker.

Denomination CEO, Rowena Curlewis, said of the appointment: “There’s no arguing with Giles’s pedigree, and he has just the right energy, enthusiasm and depth of experience that we’re after.

Gemma Banks & Ben Shepherd, RDA

Design and installation company RDA has appointed two new members of staff at its recently opened office in Central London.

The new RDA Argyle Walk office have welcomed Gemma Banks as account manager, and Ben Shepherd as senior designer.

Gemma will manage the company’s key London clients, and brings with her over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry including senior positions at The Admiral Chricton, The Concerto Group and Apex Hotels.

Speaking about her appointment, Gemma commented: “RDA is the perfect leap to take my hospitality experience to the design industry and bring my operational experience to the fore.”

Ben will be joining the company from restaurant specialists IFSE where he worked on projects across the B&I, education and health sectors in his role as CAD department manager.

Ben said: “RDA has an excellent reputation and I was highly impressed by the quality of its design and CGI visuals.

“I’m looking forward to working with Gemma and the rest of the team to create new and exciting concepts for our London based clients.”
