London-based mental health app secures £800k in funding
‘Emotional fitness’ app Fika has secured £800k to expand and create partnerships with other businesses.
Launched in 2018, the app combines cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) with positive psychology to provide users with goal-focused objectives and 5 minute exercises to improve mental wellbeing.
With the funding raise founders Nick Bennett and Gareth Fryer are eager to progress Fika to the next phase of its development.
In addition to building a body of primary empirical evidence through working with major UK universities, the company will use the funding to connect with businesses looking to improve their existing mental health provisions for employees.
Fika founder and CEO Nick explained: “We are bringing Fika to market to address this problem and raise awareness of the benefits of emotional fitness, to get the best out of our lives.”
