All signs point to success for County Durham graphics business

Signs and graphics trade supplier William Smith Group 1832 adds the opening of a new education facility and investment in equipment to its growth trajectory.

Over the past five years, the Barnard Castle based company has undergone a steady period of expansion, including relocation to larger premises and the employment of new members of staff.

In 2018 William Smith Group 1832 grew further by opening its training academy, utilising over a century of business experience to offer 10 courses covering a range of disciplines and skills.

The company has also increased its product offering with the introduction of numerous new vehicle wrap and architectural films and accessories, as well as investing in advanced manufacturing equipment.

Chris Bradley, Head of Marketing, explained: “It’s been a very busy period for the business but the growth we’ve experienced has been remarkable and thanks to the investments we’ve made, we’ve been able to continue to develop as demand has increased.

“The Training Academy has been our biggest venture and it shows our commitment to developing skills, introducing new services and boosting businesses across the industry. I can’t wait to see what the next five years have in store for the company.”
