Work begins on £10.75m Rosemeade development in Huddersfield
Construction has begun on a new semi-rural residential development on the outskirts of Huddersfield.
The Rosemeade development in Almondbury, less than two miles from Huddersfield town centre, will consist of 39 three and four bedroom properties, with the first homes expected to be ready for occupation this summer.
Led by Leeds-based firm Erris Homes, the project will see the developer’s construction team collaborate with local tradesmen and businesses on the development, which is scheduled for completion in 2020.
Scott Leather, technical and commercial director at Erris Homes commented: “We are confident the scheme will provide a real boost to the area and create employment opportunities for local people.
“We have assembled a strong team of excellent sub-contractors and skilled local craftsmen who, along with our own construction team, will ensure we deliver a quality product which meets the demands of modern living.”
