Best foot forward as female podiatry entrepreneur grows business
A Teesside entrepreneur is celebrating success this International Womens Day after completing the refurbishment of her expanding podiatry and beauty business.
Laura Dicken, founder of Podology, has refurbished her Saltburn-by-the-Sea premises, adding five new treatment rooms and a dual manicure bar.
Since establishing the business aged 25, Laura has seen her venture go from strength to strength by sourcing new products and investing in the latest podiatry and business technologies.
Speaking about what International Women’s Day means to her, Laura explained: “Women face different issues to men but in business they are expected to be tough and not show any weakness.
“As a female business owner, I make a conscious effort to speak to as many people as possible about my journey, to show them that although starting and running a business is a lot of hard work, anyone can do it as long as they have the ambition and determination to make it succeed.”
