Durham architecture firm plans for expansion from new home
Architectural and interior design specialist Howarth Litchfield has relocated into new premises following recent regional and national growth.
The 40-year-old firm left its previous home in Old Elvet in the city’s central marketplace to move to a new two-storey office at the growing Belmont Business Park development.
Following the success of recent projects such as Newcastle’s listed Neville Hall and NETPark’s new National Centre for Healthcare Photonics, the company is hoping that the move will support further expansion, including growing its team and attracting new clients from across a range of sectors.
Howarth Litchfield managing director, Jonathan Yates, explained: “Moving out of the older, cellular offices has reinvigorated everyone in the team with extra space and increased flexibility. It is just what we needed to take the business to the next level.
“Because of the location of the new office I am confident that we will continue to attract talented architects, architectural technicians, interiors designers and admin staff of the highest calibre.”
