Harper James expands national team with new Solicitor appointment
Leading law firm, Harper James Solicitors, has further bolstered its growing national team with the appointment of Commercial Solicitor, Edward Kilner.
Edward takes on his new position at Harper James having spent four years at Harrison Clark Rickerbys, bringing with him a wealth of experience working on technology, intellectual property, and commercial matters.
He joins the Harper James Birmingham team with immediate effect and will work across all aspects of Commercial law, advising on, drafting and negotiating a broad range of business-to-business contracts, specifically including technology licensing, outsourcing, brand licensing and rights enforcement, and distribution agreements.
Commenting on Edward’s appointment, CEO of Harper James, Toby Harper said: “Welcoming Edward to the team signals great start to 2019, following a successful 2018 and our expansion into both Birmingham and Cambridge.
“With the addition of Edward’s knowledge and experience within the Commercial Law arena we are able to build upon our current team, and further strengthen our offering to clients in the West Midlands.”
Edward’s appointment comes amidst an ongoing recruitment drive at Harper James which recently appointed Hannah Walker in the role of Legal Assistant and is looking to further strengthen its nationwide team of solicitors and support staff.
Hannah will be working closely with the firm’s Solicitors to provide support on client work and admin.
Edward added: “Joining such an innovative, pioneering law firm is a key step forward for me and I look forward to being a part of the business as it strives for further growth in 2019 and beyond.”
Harper James, which was founded in 2014, offers clients a unique monthly service plan targeted at start-ups and SMEs (known as Enterprise) and other innovative methods of providing, and charging for, legal services aimed at larger, more established businesses.
