Asda top-up tops off a great month
This February was the hottest on record and Northumberland Wildlife Trust rounded off the glorious month with a £300 cash boost from Asda, Cramlington.
In December, the superstore in Cramlington donated £275 to ensure the wildlife charity’s Santa’s Grotto event at Northumberlandia last December was as magical as possible for children of all ages,
Jackie Burt, Asda Community Champion at the Manor Walks superstore was so inspired by the wildlife charity’s fundraising activities and its staff who stood in zero temperatures the whole weekend, she applied to the Asda ‘Top Up Fund’ for further assistance, much to the surprise of all the Trust staff.
Mike Pratt, Northumberland Wildlife Trust Chief Executive says: “The support from Jackie and the team at Asda Cramlington is invaluable as it allows us to buy high quality resources for our events Northumberlandia, which last year attracted over 80,000 visitors.”
