Yorkshire trade conference to focus on export opportunities amidst Brexit uncertainty

The International Trade Conference (ITC) in Huddersfield will focus on highlighting regional opportunities for exporting before and after Brexit.

Delivered in partnership with the government-led Department for International Trade (DIT), the Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce conference on Thursday April 11 aims to provide businesses in the region with viable export options and advice on post-Brexit international trading.

Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce’s focus on regional export opportunities comes as nationwide uncertainty around Brexit grows, with UK businesses seeking clarification and support ahead of the planned March 29 exit date.

Over 80 Yorkshire-based exporters are expected to attend the conference at the John Smith’s Stadium, which will cover topics such as British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) export documentation and Logistics and Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) status registration.

Other event partners include MY Export Hub, Kirklees Council, University of Huddersfield and Wakefield Council, with main partner Department for International Trade (DIT) planning to offer guidance and advice throughout the day.
