Estate agent comparison site closes £2.2m super-seed investment round
London-based comparison platform GetAgent has secured £2.2m in a super-seed investment round led by Marchmont Ventures.
GetAgent specialises in online comparison of estate agencies for homeowners looking to buy and sell, comparing data such as sales performance, attached costs, time taken to sell and price achieved relative to original asking price.
The super-seed investment will join funding from Channel 4 Commercial Growth Fund as well as a number of angel investors, including managing director of PhotoBox Christian Woolfenden.
GetAgent co-founder and CEO Colby Short explained: “We are delighted to have the backing of an outstanding venture capital fund, a leading TV channel and a number of notable high net worth individuals that will, together, fuel our growth journey still further.”
Speaking about the investment, Marchmont Ventures managing director Alan Martin added: “We’ve been impressed by the huge progress made by Colby, Pete and their team in a short space of time.
“We are confident that GetAgent will grow rapidly as the public continue to recognise the benefit of the trust and transparency that they provide across the estate agency market.”
