Italian gelato brand launches third UK site on popular Chelsea street
Today (March 18), Sloane Stanley has revealed that authentic Italian gelato brand, Badiani, has signed for a 1,457 sq ft space on Fulham Road.
The brand is due to open its store next month, in April.
Badiani has selected 303 Fulham Road for its third ever UK site, expanding its London footprint, which includes its first location within Mercato Metropolitano, on Newington Causeway, and the second store in Notting Hill Gate.
The brand’s new location will offer products including Gelato Jars and Gelato Cakes. Inspired by the Renaissance period, the Fulham Road location is to be designed in partnership with the Florentine creative director, Ilaria Legato, and interior designer, Cosimo Bonciani.
Hannah Grievson, property director at Sloane Stanley, said: “Badiani is a wonderful brand to add to the existing assortment of eateries available on the Fulham Road, this Spring.
“We’re pleased to home their latest parlour which will offer our visitors an interesting assortment of traditional Italian gelato flavours.
“I envisage Fulham Road as a smart spot for this expanding brand, with its vibrant catchment situated within the bustling Chelsea borough.”
Savills and Miles Commercial represented Sloane Stanley. Badiani represented itself.
Paolo Pomposi, head of production for Badiani, added: “We started our London story by serving our products in third-party restaurants throughout the capital, and it was obvious to us that the test was a success and London diners adored our distinctive flavours - especially our signature flavour, The Buontalenti.
“The Chelsea catchment was always a target location for us and with its chic variety of food and beverage operators, it really resonates with our brand. With our award-winning gelato maker, we like to think of ourselves as leaders in the sweet treats industry.”
