Southampton lawyers praised in international industry report
Five Southampton-based lawyers from transatlantic law firm Womble Bond Dickinson (WBD) have been recognised for their stand-out legal expertise by clients in the Acritas Stars report, an international database of ‘star lawyers’.
The report is the result of a survey of over 4,300 general counsel and other senior leaders at legal departments around the world. Participants were asked during their Acritas Sharplegal interview to name any stand-out lawyers that they had worked with. Overall, 30 WBD lawyers were named as 2019 Acritas Stars across the firm’s US and UK offices.
In Southampton, the lawyers commended are: • Jon Hales, Employment Partner and Head of the Southampton office; • Christina Tolvas-Vincent, Employment Partner; • Graham Jefferies, Banking and Finance Partner; • Sebastian Briggs, Corporate Partner; • Cole Stacey, Banking and Finance Managing Associate.
Jon Hales of WBD commented: “We’re very proud of the talent held within the firm and are delighted to have so many of our lawyers commended in this year’s Acritas Stars report, not just in Southampton but across the UK and our US offices. These recognitions are a direct result of the feedback our clients have shared, recognising the high quality advice we provide as well as our in-depth expertise.”
Ranking in the UK’s top 20 law firms, WBD provides legal expertise in eleven key sectors from across eight offices in the UK and 19 offices in the US. It has a large office in Southampton where it employs more than 150 staff.
