French software company in Sheffield
A leading European software company has become the latest tenant to secure office space at the prestigious City Gate premises in Sheffield City Centre, according to national property consultancy Commercial Property Partners LLP (CPP).
Dassault Systèmes – a subsidiary of French company Dassault Group - has committed to a five year lease at the high specification office block, which is prominently positioned overlooking Ecclesall Road at the bottom of The Moor, and fronting the ring road.
Previously based on Peel Street, Broomhill, the move sees the business take on a 3,000 sq ft office, joining current tenants including ARM Plc, OCLS, Hallam Medical and digital group Zoo.
Longmead Capital recently acquired this landmark building, which boasts an impressive triple height entrance foyer as well as open plan suites which appeal to a number of businesses. City Gate offers full raised access floors, comfort cooling and heating, three high speed passenger lifts, secure on site car parking, on site shower facilities and secure cycle parking cages.
Only two floors now remain available at the property, offering suites from 2,000 sq ft.
Rob Darrington, Partner at CPP, said: “Increasingly, we are seeing companies spanning the professional service, technology and creative industries committing to long-term leases that secure their city centre presence for the foreseeable; a trend which highlights a growing confidence in Sheffield as a good location in which to do business.
“City Gate has proved particularly popular with such organisations given its central location; providing good access to city centre facilities, strong public transport links, as well as excellent connectivity to major road networks.
“It is also a prime example of the Grade A offering of the office space available in Sheffield, and its generous, secure car park facility has been well received by potential tenants.”
Joint Agent Peter Whitely adds: “Interest in the two, final remaining floors is gathering pace, and we are in active discussions with a number of business interested in securing the space.”
CPP and Knight Frank acted on behalf of the Landlord and Colliers International acted on behalf of the Tenant.
