It’s a win for win for Regenda Homes
A housing association is set to be on the winning side of an upcoming semi-professional football match, no matter what the result.
On Saturday 30 March, Avro FC will play City of Liverpool FC in a Macron Cup semi-final first-leg tie. Regenda Homes has close links with both clubs and will be the main sponsor of the match.
The game will be played at Avro FC’s home ground, The Vestacare Stadium, which is in the heart of Limehurst Village. Regenda Homes is leading on a 10-year neighbourhood regeneration project in the area and works closely with the Club to support the local community.
The second phase of the project has been hugely successful, helping over 500 people through a range of initiatives, including full time and part time employment, apprenticeships, training courses and volunteering.
Regenda Homes is also the main sponsor of City of Liverpool FC, and has adorned the front of the club’s shirts since its inaugural season three years ago. Since the start of the long-standing partnership, staff from the two organisations have tirelessly worked together to support several community and fundraising initiatives during the season, including local foodbanks, domestic abuse charity - Centre 56 - and national mental health awareness charity, Chasing the Stigma.
Chris Standish, Regeneration & Place Manager at Regenda Homes, said: “We are pleased to be sponsoring the Macron Cup match between Avro FC and City of Liverpool FC. Sport and physical activity are important parts of our communities, bringing people together and improving health and wellbeing.
“Avro FC are partners in our long-term regeneration plans for Limehurst and Hollinwood. Along with other partners, we are developing new projects to transform lives and regenerate places.’
“We wish both sides the best of luck over the two legs.”
