Weston Group lays foundations for growth with £40m office park

Volume housebuilder Weston Group has begun work on a £40m headquarters and office complex in as part of its ongoing expansion.

Based in Stansted, the new development will be an expansion of the existing Weston Business Centre, with the group investing £20m in the project.

The 95,000 sq ft development will see the construction of new headquarters for Weston Group as well as serviced office accommodation.

As well as the refurbishment of the existing Stansted Centre, work is underway on the construction of the new Skyway House building.

Boasting a ‘spectacular hotel-like’ central atrium, Skyway House has been designed by Weston’s in-house architectural design studio working with interior designer Oz Lancaster of OS Design, and will include office space, meeting rooms, communal areas and a gym.

With an expected completion date of 2021, the Stansted development is part of the group’s further growth.

Following the acquisition of £700m worth of sites across London and the South East, the group’s residential division Weston Homes aims to reach a £3bn pipeline portfolio with the new development.

Weston Homes chief executive Bob Weston explained that the development is “essential for providing our staff with an enhanced working environment and managing our growth and human resource requirement; all crucial components for the delivering our £3 billion development portfolio of over 7,500 new homes.”
