Hindley Circuits Completes Contract with Leading Multinational Company
One of the North East’s leading manufacturing businesses – Hindley Circuits – has successfully completed its largest contact to date with a large multinational company.
The contract has seen the Cramlington based business provide its complex electronic and mechanical assembly services to a Fortune 500 company which operates across 140 countries.
Speaking about the contract completion, Richard Whitehead, CEO at Hindley Circuits said: “We are delighted to have delivered a contract with such a high-profile company and firmly believe this win is true testament to our ongoing commitment to provide the highest quality PCB services in the industry.”
As part of the contract Hindley Circuits manufactured complex analysis equipment which will be utilised for nationally important infrastructure. The equipment was manufactured by the company’s staff who are independently assessed in accordance with IPC-A-610 standards in its state-of-the-art facility located in the North East of England. The facility enables the company to work closely with its clients across the country to assist with the entire electronic product cycle from development through to prototyping and production.
Richard said: “Our facilities enable us to work very closely with all our clients across the country making sure we consistently tailor our approach to fit their individual needs and that we do this right across the product life cycle.
“Having these incredibly responsive, flexible capabilities and in-house facilities is something we very much pride ourselves on and, as the business continues to grow, is the element that we firmly believe will make us the market leader in electronic assembly manufacturing.”
The business – established in 2016 – recently announced the acquisition of North East businesses Magnum Electronics and Irridian Electronics, which has enabled Hindley Circuits to offer a more comprehensive and wider range of services to its national client base.
Since its inception the business has invested over £650k in training its staff as well as upgrading and improving existing equipment. This has seen the company invest in Yamaha placement machines as well as Koh Young 3D automated inspection equipment which significantly increase overall surface mount placement capacity and enable early fault detection within the manufacturing process.
Most recently the firm has been awarded an ISO 9001:2015 and has doubled its financial turnover in its second year of trading.
Richard added: “Investment in both training of staff and upgrading equipment has been incredibly important to the business as we push to position ourselves as being at the very forefront of our industry. In doing so, this has significantly contributed to Hindley successfully securing this contract. We have clearly demonstrated our capabilities – including our in-depth technical know-how, to deliver highly accurate and precise PCB assembly services. And we do so with a personal approach, which we really believes sets us apart in the industry.”
Hindley Circuits specialise in electronic assembly manufacturing providing its services to a diverse range of end markets, predominately working with companies that design and market niche products that see the value in having their electronics content made in the UK.
