Robotic process firm Softomotive has appointed Guy Burruyer as chairman of the board.

With experience in a range of senior roles in FTSE100 companies, Guy has held the position of CEO at accounting software firm Sage Group.

Guy is also a senior advisor at Warburg Pincus LLC as well as a former council member at the University of Southampton.

Joining the firm during a phase of expansion, Guy will be acting in a mentoring capacity on the board.

Speaking about his new role, Guy said: “Softomotive is transforming extremely fast and part of my role as Chairman is to act as a mentor, so I’m looking forward to sharing my experience.”

Softomotive co-founder and CEO, Marios Stavropoulos, added: “We are very much looking forward to working with Guy. This is an exciting time for us and he brings a lot of experience that we will be able to benefit from.”

Vix Leyton, carwow

Independent car buying site carwow has appointed Vix Leyton as head of PR.

With over 10 years of experience across a range of sectors including consumer, e-commerce and personal finance, Vix has led communications at brands such as Quidco and Confused.com.

Reporting to chief marketing officer Phil Lloyd, Vix is joining the company during a period of European expansion.

Chief marketing officer Phil Lloyd said: “Vix’s knowledge of the media and reputation with the press will be put to use to drive the carwow brand forward and increase awareness and authority with the public and trade.

“She is a highly experienced PR operator and just what we need at this stage to help us grow even further as a marketing department and a business.”

Jonny Longden, Journey Further

Performance marketing agency Journey Further has appointed Jonny Longden to head up its new conversion division.

Joining from Principal Hotel Company where he held the position of head of ecommerce, digital and analytics, Jonny brings over 12 years of experience in conversion rate optimisation (CRO).

In his new role Jonny will be overseeing the CRO, user experience (UX) and analytics focused division according to Journey Further’s ‘Clarity at Speed’ proposition.

Professor Sadie Morgan, U+I

Regeneration developer and investor U+I has appointed Professor Sadie Morgan as independent non-executive director.

With over 20 years of experience in the real estate sector, Sadie co-founded dRMM Architects and is a commissioner for the National Infrastructure Commission as well as one of the Mayor’s design advocates for the Greater London Authority.

In her new role Sadie will have board oversight of the company’s community engagement development as well as chairing its independent Community Challenge Panel.

Jeremy Bowen, Cirium

Global flight analytics group Cirium has appointed Jeremy Bowen as its new CEO.

Formerly the VP global head of sales for the newly rebranded Cirium, Jeremy also has experience in executive positions at Accuity, Fircosoft and Dun & Bradstreet.

The appointment comes after the launch of the group’s new corporate brand Cirium, which will sit alongside insights and analytics arm Cirium Solutions, consultancy and data customization specialist Cirium Pro Services consultancy and legacy publishing and events brand FlightGlobal.

In his new role as CEO, Jeremy will be overseeing Cirium’s operations across the USA, Europe and Asia-Pacific.

Commenting on his appointment, Cirium CEO Jeremy Bowen said: “It’s a privilege to lead this company at this moment in its evolution.
