Southbank Place retail and office space snapped up
London’s central Southbank Place development is set to be joined by eight new retailers and a flexible workspace firm during 2019.
Spinning concept Boom Cycle, recruiter Knight Frank, organic eatery Farmstand and Birley Sandwiches have committed to letting units in the development, with Boom Cycle currently in the process of fitting out its 6,500 sq ft studio.
Brands Coco di Mama, Island Poké, Leon and Grind will also be joining Southbank Place later this year, joining existing tenants Marks & Spencer, Boots and Gail’s Bakery.
In addition to the range of retail and food united, a 299,877 sq ft flexible workspace by WeWork is currently undergoing a fit-out on the site.
Stuart Fyfe, head of retail leasing at Southbank Place commented: “We have had a high level of interest in Southbank Place from the outset. We always strived to deliver an interesting tenant mix with best in class operators who would appeal to workers, residents and tourists.
“The tenants secured will enhance this high quality mixed-use development with a wide variety of appealing offers and will redefine the success of the South Bank.”
