Rotherham steelmaking company agrees on Sheffield business park move
Tata Steel is relocating one of its support operations to a unit at Meadowhall Business Park this summer.
The firm will be moving from offices in Moorgate, Rotherham to Unit MBP2.
Tata Steel has acquired 12,000 sq ft at ARBA Group’s recently refurbished multi-million-pound business park to accommodate around 60 staff from its core business support and specialist environmental testing functions.
Richard Burns, director at ARBA Group, said: “The success of our development at Meadowhall Business Park confirms that high quality accommodation, which can be flexibly used, attracts tenants.
“Not only that, but the location has been key. We are on a prime site close to the M1 with an immediate useful surrounding environment for businesses. We have city centre amenities in an out of town location with retail and leisure attractions close by.
“The remaining accommodation in Building 4 delivers 3,750 to 7,500 sq ft over two floors and has been totally refurbished to include a communal reception, lift, open plan office suites, LED lighting, comfort cooling plus kitchen, toilet and shower facilities. We anticipate strong interest in the final remaining space.”
This letting means just 7,500 sq ft of open plan office accommodation remains at the five-block business park, which is now home to more than 13 companies and employs over 500 staff.
Tenants at the 70,000 sq ft business park include: GMB Union; Community; CapGemini; Tuffnells; NG Bailey; Auburn Ainsley Limited; Chique Photography; and KitchenEx.
The Sheffield office of Knight Frank and Campbell & Co are marketing the remaining space at Meadowhall Business Park.
