Leeds construction firm reports £30m worth of contracts

Leeds-based Castlehouse Construction has secured £30m worth of contracts moving into the new financial year.

This is said to represent a 230 per cent increase on the firm’s order book at the same time in 2018, and confirming a strong year ahead for the company in its 10th trading year.

The new instructions include three new projects for national retailer Lidl, with whom Castlehouse Construction has a national framework in place, an Aldi in Bradford, a 20 apartment scheme in Harrogate and an office refurbishment in Leeds.

Richard Lumley, chairman of Castlehouse Construction, said: “To have £30m worth of instructions in our order book as we move into the next financial year is a huge achievement for the business.

“We are incredibly proud to be in this position in our tenth year of trading and it is a true testament to the hard work of the whole team and the strong relationships we have worked hard to build with our clients over the last decade.”

The £30m of orders see the firm’s projected turnover for its milestone 10th year sit at around £35m which represents an increase on the £20m turnover achieved in 2018/19.

The company, which employs more than 30 staff from its Leeds headquarters, was formed in 2009 by directors Richard Lumley and Frank Kofler.
