“My dad is in the transport/logistics industry so I could already see the appeal of importing goods. After some research, I could see the potential in furniture, specifically rustic and industrial style pieces. I organised a trip overseas to visit my first supplier, and J.N. Rusticus quickly emerged from there.”
With a firm focus on recycling and upcycling, J.N. Rusticus is dedicated to their ethos of being wholly ethical, offering lovingly created furniture at an affordable price point. In the North East alone, their rustic inspired creations can be found in the popular Tomahawk Steakhouses in Potto, Newcastle and Yarm along with the newly refurbished Dickens Inn in Middlesbrough.

We use reclaimed boat wood, sustainable mango wood, recycled metal and leather amongst other materials chosen because they cause the least damage to the planet as possible. For me, it’s essential that we’re all ‘doing our bit’ when it comes to being sustainable, and it’s something that has brought our customers great satisfaction.’
