Leeds finance consultancy heads east with new £4m business centre office opening
Leeds-based finance search and selection consultancy Woodrow Mercer Finance has expanded with the opening of a new office in Hull.
The move will enable the business to extend its reach into the Humber region from its new offices in Ergo House, Hull’s £4m business centre on the Bridgehead Business Park.
From this base, Woodrow Mercer Finance will offer its full range of specialist financial consultancy and recruitment services from the search and selection of portfolio finance directors and financial controllers to full-time interims and permanent FDs and FCs.
The firm also has a division providing entry level and part-qualified staff.
James Roach, managing partner of Woodrow Mercer Finance, said: “With our roots in Yorkshire providing senior finance personnel originally under the FDYL brand, we have now established a strong presence as part of the Woodrow Mercer group.
“Our vision is to take our specialist offering nationwide, building on our offices in Leeds, Nottingham and Birmingham and opening a network of regional offices.
“We are excited about our new presence in Hull and confident that Emma and her team will quickly prove their value to businesses in the region.”
The consultancy’s team will be led by partner Emma Dutton who manages the firm’s Hull-based senior finance division, who added: “Woodrow Mercer Finance has a strong reputation across Yorkshire for its ability to provide finance personnel from FDs and FCs through to more junior positions.
“Having been brought up in Hull and seeing first-hand the development and investment over the years, it’s a really exciting time to bring this type of specialist financial expertise to the vibrant business community here.”
In 2016, financial consultancy and recruitment specialist FDYL joined forces with Birmingham-based recruiter Woodrow Mercer to expand its financial leadership recruitment offering nationally, as part of the Woodrow Mercer Finance division.
