Mobile journey marketing company Ogury awarded IAB UK Gold Standard Certification
London, UK - 30 April 2019 - Ogury, the leading technology company specialized in Mobile Journey Marketing (MJM), today announces that it has been awarded the Internet Advertising Bureau’s (IAB) Gold Standard certification.
The IAB UK Gold Standard has three core aims - to end fraudulent advertising practices, to improve the digital advertising experience for consumers, and to increase brand safety. The initiative was launched in October 2017 as part of the IAB’s commitment to raising standards in digital marketing and building a sustainable future for the industry.
This news follows the recent announcement of major updates to Ogury’s Consent Manager that strengthen its Mobile Journey Marketing Cloud. Ogury Consent Manager includes a game changing capability, called Fair Choice. This goes one step further than simply giving users the choice to share or withhold their data, by introducing a third-option to pay a fair price in exchange for a marketing-free experience, without data sharing.
Ogury Consent Manager, a registered IAB Consent Management Platform (CMP) and fully GDPR compliant, combines all consent notices from every demand and supply partner, technology solution, as well as every tracking and analytics provider into one place. Therefore, users are shown just one consent notice, providing them with a clear and informed choice to share or withdraw their data, whilst also helping brands and publishers meet GDPR guidelines quickly and easily.
Thomas Pasquet, Co-CEO of Ogury, commented: “We look forward to working closer with the IAB to help stamp out surreptitious, fraudulent and toxic practices in marketing. Since our inception in 2014, Ogury has empowered end users to make informed choices about their mobile data. The Gold Standard certification from IAB UK furthers our commitment to transparency, accountability and the rights of end users, which has been our focus since day one”.
As part of the certification process, Ogury adopts the Better Ads Standards outlined by the Coalition for Better Advertising. In addition, Ogury has become certified by the JICWEBS Digital Trading Standards Group (DTSG), which independently audits internal policies and processes to ensure they adhere to current Brand Safety principles.
