Accountancy firm expands team following office transformation

A Yorkshire accountancy firm is preparing for regional expansion following the completion of an office transformation set to create new jobs.

Leeds-based firm Hentons has completed the refurbishment of a new office in Thirsk, and plans to take on four new members of staff to grow the business.

The Thirsk office will primarily serve local clients including farmers, rural businesses and the wider community, specialising in accounting, tax advice and wealth management.

News of the office refurbishment follows a recent investment of £150k by the company in its digital infrastructure to enhance its existing accounting services.

Hentons consultant Ian Wallace commented: “By increasing our presence in North Yorkshire and expanding the team further, we are providing a much-needed service designed to meet the complex business needs of the surrounding farming community.

“For many rural business operators, the move to digital taxation and real-time reporting could prove to be a major headache, but we believe that with Hentons guiding them through it, this also presents a great opportunity for farmers to run their businesses more profitably and efficiently with the increased availability of management information .”
